The Lehigh Valley Institute for Surgical Excellence (LVISE) part of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), a premier regional health system and proud member of Jefferson Health, seeks an outstanding leader in Trauma & Acute Care Surgery to serve as the Division Chief of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery and the Level I Trauma Medical Director at our Cedar Crest site. In addition, this position includes oversight of all the trauma centers at legacy LVHN.
LVISE has one of the country’s largest and busiest trauma systems. It is comprised of one Level I adult trauma center and one Level II pediatric trauma center at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest, one Level II trauma center at LVH–Muhlenberg, one Level III trauma center at LVH–Pocono and three Level IV trauma centers at LVH–Hazleton, LVH–Schuylkill and LVH–Hecktown Oaks.

As Division Chief of LVHN Trauma and Critical Care Surgery, you will:
In partnership with the Physician-in-Chief, to whom the successful candidate would report, and the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), the incumbent will oversee overall clinical and administrative operations of the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. Provide leadership and management oversight in the areas of quality improvement, clinical program development, business development, medical staff relationships, policy development and education.
